Taco Clutch

A while ago I spotted this novelty clutch at Dangerfield and fell in love with its quirkiness. I wasn't willing to fork out $30 for it, and set out to make it myself with a few pieces of felt and a zipper. The total thing cost me $8 to make and wasn't all that difficult.

I simply cut an oval from the brownish felt, traced it onto the green and cut a rippled oval for the lettuce, sewed some red tomato circles to the lettuce and sewed the zip onto the lettuce as well. Once the green was in the shape of a clutch I used double sided sticky-tape to attach the taco felt piece and there you go, one completed taco clutch.

And there it is. The Dangerfield version is obviously a lot neater than mine, but I still love the result and can't wait to use it while I'm out just casually.

Why not give it a go?
